Well, if you look at it, it's a better strategy than trying to break the record of drafting players with no pre-draft write-ups from any major source.

Although, I think we already own that record.

Is Laporta still available? If he is I would draft him and pay him second or Third round money. There is no way that he could not be the best available player on the Reds board. What happened to the promise to fans to take best available. I have been under Thunderstorm warnings all day. I missed alot of our picks.

If you're big, tall, from California, your name starts with a "J", and will sign for under slot money, we're interested!

I was hoping the Reds would draft Raynor or Hatcher from UNC-Wilmington.

Just curious, where do you live...a rain forest? It seems like you are under thunderstorm warnings every night.

Well, we all know the major league draft is a complete crapshoot - but I gotta say I am less than impressed with this draft by the Reds. Pitchers with less than stellar peripherals and utility infielders and Juan Pierre outfielders.

Yankees get Melancon in the 9th round. Forgot about him.

This is where teams like the Yanks start ripping people off. They'll probably grab LaPorta in the next round and sign him.
