    Ootp 2006

Anyone else downloaded this game yet? I bought it last night and I'm already addicted. If you've played previous versions of Out of the Park, you owe it to yourself to check this one out. I own the Mac version but files are completely interchangeable between that and PC. Best of all are the international baseball leagues you can run/create. I've set up my own version of Cuba's SNB, xenophobic socialist structure and all! A great game, and one you can try before buying.

It's a jump from OOTP 6.5, but after a few hours with the Demo I was enjoying

There seem to be A LOT of bugs with this version. And, I'm not talking about interface issues. I think I'll wait until a couple of patches come out.

Looking forward to this. Gonna wait a lil while to get it, but I've been pimping this game for over a year now

The bugs aren't as bad as the message boards make them sound. Most of them relate to financials; if you disable financials the in-game play is tremendous.

IMO, getting the financials right is a big thing for me...gonna wait a lil bit, but tell me how the game is different/better than ootp6...have not played it since last fall, but anxious to see/play this one...been a LOT of hype for a LOOONNNG time on this one.

Actually, the few bugs that I am mostly concerned have nothing to do with financials. There are some nasty AI bugs in this game. The trade logic is screwy at times. There are scoring bugs. There are bugs that deal with the host computer itself, at least one of those is addressed with the first patch. The folks over there that have been playing the OOTP series since it came out know what they're talking about. Again, I'm waiting on this one until the more experienced users there like the way the game is playing.

I bought it on preorder (was only $28), but have installed it and let it sit for a little while until the first couple patches come out. One's already been released.

Yep, same here. I downloaded it on May 31st, and it's probably been open for less than an hour on my computer. The jump from 6.5 is huge, though, and our online league is still trying to figure out which avenue to take at this point.

We should start a redszone OOTP league.

That would be awesome. Most definitely should way for at least teh second patch, though. I've been playing OOTP from the very beginning (though I missed out on 6 and 6.5 by switching to Mac). I have yet to play in any form of league, so I would be thrilled.

I downed the demo last night but haven't given it anything but a quick look. Since I'm so into DMB and accurate replay instead of career type simulation I dunno if I'll buy it. I had v4 and 5 of it,it's fun to mess around with.
