I heard he was starting tonight, they figured to give him an extra night off last night with the leftie going. With Maddux on the mound he will be in there.
Thanks, hope your right because I am going.
I am highly skeptical of seing Jr back tonight. The talk is the same as always, day-to day. Last time day-to-day was a month so I will believe it when I see it.
I think he'll be in there. He was on the bench last night. He's cutting up, happy, etc. It's tough though as this has happened so many times. My fantasy team really misses him as I don't have Freel to put in there to replace.

Center fielder expected to test tight left quad again on Friday
By William S. Hupp / MLB.com
CINCINNATI -- The combination of a tight quadriceps muscle in his left leg and Cubs left-hander Glendon Rusch on the mound were enough to keep Reds center fielder Ken Griffey Jr. out of the lineup for the second straight game on Thursday night.
Reds manager Jerry Narron talked with Griffey early on Thursday and decided to put Ryan Freel in center field again. Griffey strained his quad while sliding into home on Adam Dunn's double during Tuesday night's win at St. Louis.
"Junior is a one-more-day type of thing. He felt much better today," Reds head trainer Mark Mann said. "He said he still felt just a little bit of stiffness and soreness in that upper quad. He just wanted to be smart and take one more day and make sure he gets over the hump."
Griffey did not do any running on Thursday, but he was expected to test his leg with a running session before Friday's game.

Minimal soreness? What a wimp that Griffey.
By Wed. of next week he'll be on the DL as a precaution. He'll be back after the all star break, play a month, then be gone for the year. Next year repeat. Next year repeat.
Yep, he was supposed to play multiple times before he went on the DL earlier this year.

We'll know he is fine when he is the line-up. Not before.
Don't be so optimistic. There's already too much of it on this board.Originally Posted by geniusMoment
