    Just curious by what you mean as an accidental event. Are you saying that something like a sacrifice fly is an unintentional result of an at bat with a runner on third base, or is it something that is more in line with any other out?

    It's generally considered that hitting sac flies is an accident. There is no discernable skill that allows a player to hit a ball just deep enough. That player was trying for something more, not to make an out.

    The only productive out that comes as a result of a skillset that I can think of, would be from a bunt.
