Los Angeles Dodgers at San Diego Padres, 3:35 PM
(R) Chad Billingsley (0-0) vs. (R) Chris Young (6-3)
Lots of expectations on this young man's shoulders. From everything I've heard, he's ready.

I'm wondering if the Dodgers are looking at trading one of their other starters now that Billingsley is on the scene? In one of the threads over on ORG a poster said there was a Dodger scout at Cincy over the weekend.
We don't play them for another 1 1/2 months. Could something be up??
That Dodger scout is in town for the whole homestand... as are scouts of about 3 different clubs. Don't read too much into that kind of stuff. It's what they do all the time.Originally Posted by TStuck

let's hear it for defiance!
School's out. What did you expect?
1-2-3 in the 2nd, with another K
Of course, I think I could still K Mark Bellhorn.

According to gameday he was just hit by a pitch when batting.
Obp 1.000

Also the home of 2006 Indianapolis 500 winner Sam Hornish, Jr.
I know, I know - I'm probably the only one that cares.
Some people play baseball. Baseball plays Jay Bruce.

Well, that's all for me.
They say if it seems too good to be true, it most likely is, but I'm going to go watch anyways.

I batted against Billingsly 6 times during my high school career, and can proudly say I dribbled weekly to second once, he struck me out the other 5 times . His team beat mine 1-0 in the tournament, and Defiance is also in the same league as I was. Insane stuff. FYI Jon Niese, an 8th round pick by the Mets, also attended Defiance. I had the pleasure to face both, and can say Billingsly was light years ahead.
and also the home of the guy who came up with the modern design for the United States flag...Defiance is fne but Napolean is Dyn-O-Mite!Originally Posted by Heath
