I met Tommy Thompson one time when I was working the front desk of a motel in Lexington,Ky. He was very nice and gave me his business card. I think he was working for the Brewers then. RIP Mr. Thompson.
I have been in and out of town the last couple weeks and I'm trying to catch up on some of this news.

I got to actually know Tommy Thompson somewhat, as he attended our church up until his passing. His baseball mind was incredible. He was an definitely old school scout, and occassionally, I'd toss him some of our RedsZone hot topics - such as tools vs. stats and Adam Dunn's strikeouts, etc. - in order to get his unique perspective.

    He will be sorely missed.

"Those girls," Wilt says, "thought he hung the moon. He loved baseball, but family is why he lived."
That about broke me up. Very sad story. RIP Brian.
