I can't say for certain, but I would think that Bill Henry seemed to have performed better making his debut with the Reds the season after Luis Arroyo played his one season with the Reds (1959). In fact, Henry went to the All Star game in his initial year with the team. Nunn played for two years with the Reds beginning in 1961.

Howie Nunn pitched in '61 and '62 for the Reds.

    1961 CIN 2-1 3.58 ERA 37 2/3 IP
    1962 CIN 0-0 5.59 ERA 9 2/3 IP

    Luis Arroyo

    1961 NYY 15-5 2.19 ERA 119 IP
    1962 NYY 1-3 4.81 ERA 33 2/3 IP

I think the Reds made a mistake. :

For all you trivia buffs, two other Arroyo's pitched in the majors. Rudy Arroyo pitched for the St. Louis Cardinals in 1971 going 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA in 11 2/3 IP (9 games). Fernando Arroyo pitched for parts of 8 years with Detroit, Minnesota, and Oakland. He had a career 4.44 ERA with a 24-37 record in 121 games. He was cleary the "veteran" Arroyo throwing 535 2/3 innings.

    my head hurts.

Then there was Gerry Arrigo, who was the last Reds pitcher before Bronson Arroyo to start his Last Name with an "A" and to end his last name with an "O". Arrigo was an egotistical, hardheaded, party-boy whose talent brought him to the big leagues while his mind took him out of the big leagues. Arrigo's claim to fame was when a rookie catcher caught one of his pitches barehanded after Gerry repeatedly rejected each sign. The legend of Johnny Bench.

Do you realize how bad the Mets were in 1967? woy pitched a one hitter against the Mets in 1967 as well. So, it was strat-a-matic baseball, but don't let the facts get confused with the story.
