I gotta believe we'd be interested. Hes been pretty bad in Clev. but a 2-1 gb/fb ratio interests me.

These are his career stats, all of which are in the AL, besides 3 relief appearances in his firsy year (97) with the Pirates, not too bad, but not great, yet a change to the NL may be good to him, he's pitched in some tough AL divisions. Johnson is also locally known, he graduated from Conner High School, in Hebron KY. He is worth a chance given he is a good groundball pitcher and is stron local ties may help put more people in the stands.
I've always liked him, and I've been surprised by how much he's struggled the last few seasons. He's a good guy to take a chance on, as long as someone else is paying most of his salary.

Pass. I'm not sure he's any better than Joe Mays.

Well, the Red Sox just traded for him.
Well that decides that then.Originally Posted by blumj
The Red Sox are more in need of starters than we are. Nice to be able to say that for a change.

Did the Tribe & Sox trade out DFA's?

It was Johnson and cash for PTBNL or future cash considerations.
