    CIN/CLE Trade Idea

Reds trade: C Jason Larue, LHP Brandon Claussen and RHP Ryan Wagner
    Indians trade: RHP Jake Westbrook

    Thoughts?

Why are we giving up on Wagner already? What would Cleveland want with LaRue?

At this point in the season, I do not think the starting pitching only issue on this team.

You cant bundle up all of your trash and get something good for it.
When I see the 2016 Reds, I see a 100 loss team and no direction.

If we dealt with the Indians, I would want Eduardo Perez in the deal. Murders LHPs.

LaRue at 4 million, 32 years old and hitting .160 is trash im sorry.

I wouldn't really call any major league ball player trash, but if we could dump off his salary I would do it. I think we can do well enough at catcher with Ross and Valentin, and I know that LaRue usually gets hot in the second half, but maybe Ross has a career year.

Why would the Indians trade for Larue and his awful contract when they have one of the best young catchers in the game in Vic Martinez?

I'm not advocating the trade, but he is good young HITTING catcher, but he is brutal at throwing runners out.

If the Indians would do that trade I'd do it quickly.

Don't seem to be too happy with his throwing right now. Still, I wouldn't think they would be interested in Larue and the contract.
