    Prospect Watch: Adam Rosales

Rosales, a college senior out of Western Michigan in last year's draft, burst on the scene with an outstanding 2005. Bumped two levels this year, Rosales struggled early with High A Sarasota, but has done well after being demoted to Dayton. In the past year, Rosales has displayed an excellent eye at the plate and some pop for a middle infielder. His arm is well above average, as are his hands. Rosales is tall for a SS and there was talk about him moving to 3B. For now, though, Reds brass have ticketed him as a middle infielder.

2005: Rosales, a 12th round selection of the Reds in the 2005 First Year Player Draft out of Western Michigan, split time during the 2005 season between the Billings Mustangs and the Dragons. The shortstop had a great August and September with Dayton, hitting .328 with nine home runs and 21 runs batted in just 32 games. His hot bat earned him a promotion from Billings where he batted .321 with five homers and 25 RBI in 34 games with the Mustangs.
