Something's come back to Mike Gosling's repertoire since he's returned from a month on the DL. He whiffed six in four innings his first start back, then has K'd eight in five innings tonight. Before his DL stint, he'd walked almost as many as he struck out (28 /35 ratio in 53 IP).

This is good news. He was really impressive at Stanford - if he could regain that form and that stuff, he would definitely put himself in a position to make the Reds pitching staff.

He has been on fire lately. Makes you wonder if the youngest player in the Midwest league is about to become the youngest player in the Florida State League. I am sure the Reds would rather let him spend the whole year in Dayton, but right now he is just punishing MWL pitching.
