the problem is every dayton pitcher deserved to be promoted. i think cueto will end up showing he was worthy of the promotion and hopefull a couple of the other dayton starters will get the call-up as well. and how about tyler pelland!!... he has been pitching great. his hit totals have gone down the last couple of starts, although walks remain his biggest problem. but he's very young, has great stuff and is already in aa, so those are all major positives.

    pressing?

    Both?
I was a little disappointed to see his line tonight. It also made me appreciate Homer Baileys transistion to AA that much more. I think Cueto will calm it down a little bit next time and hopefully have a much better outing.

Tyler Pelland is showing something. Has had a solid showing as a starter at AA at the age of 22. Still a ways to go with him and he may end up in the pen still, but he's a lefty with good stuff, so chances are he'll have a career in the major leagues.

The good news is Cueto didn't get hammered - it's not like he gave up 10 hits and 3 home runs, he uncharacteristically struggled with his command, which could be chalked up to nerves. I think Johnny will bounce back and pitch well in Sarasota, but I still don't/won't agree with promoting him this fast.

Bruce finished last night 2-for-4 with his 11th HR, his first HR of June.

Votto finished at 2-for-3 with his 16th HR, a single, and a walk.
