Homer Bailey will miss his scheduled start Friday....

But you can all stop calling the ambulance, you arent going to have a heart attack. Homer will be missing his start Friday so he can pitch in the Futures Game on Sunday, on ESPN.

And on XM radio for those who like to listen to the game. One of the announcers will be former Red Rob Dibble.

Guess I won't be able to see him pitch live after all.

    You had me worried dougdirt!

Hopefully he pitches well, and I can't wait to see him.

I was going to go tomorrow night. That is just great.

I remember one time going out to the mound to talk with Bob Gibson. He told me to get back behind the batter, that the only thing I knew about pitching was that it was hard to hit.

What time is the Futures game on?
Benzinger backing and calling! And the 1990 world championship series belongs to the Cincinnati Reds!

If he pitches really well what are his odds of moving up to triple A? I would think If he smokes the best they've got to move him..

I would say about zero chance of him being promoted, even if he strikes out every batter he faces. Wayne Krivsky has already said its very unlikely he is promoted again this season, and why would he change that statement after 1 inning of an All-Star game?
