Hmm...he's better than most of our pen. At the least he can't do any worse.
bullpen seems like an interesting option for this glut
Back to following MiLB; there's always hope for tomorrow!
He probably won't be happy in the pen. He was upset when the Cards put him in the pen earlier this year.
Even though he may better than a few of our pitchers right now, there's no way the front office trades for him. They'd look like a bunch of hypocrites considering Sidney Ponson looks like he ate Josh Hancock.

O god please not fat Sidney.
Hello anybody,
They said I needed to post or make comment. Nobody talks to me anyway but could Ponson help us in anyway?
I think the two situations are completely different. Hancock was coming off a season where he didn't play much because of injuries. The Reds wanted him to come into spring training in shape because of that. Ponson's situation is different because he is just overweight to begin with.Originally Posted by Redhook
WB BeetleBug. He might help if he went to the pen and didn't cost much.
I don't think this is the direction the Reds want to go. While its obvious that we need pitching help I don't think this is the answer.
dont think the reds would sign Sydney, the ascetic, emaciated look is what the team desires. Hancock was cut because of gluttony, Yan , of course, the paragon of abstemious caloric intake was signed. Ponson would be a good "fit" with Calvin Pickering returning
Thanks someone does know that I am here.Originally Posted by Gallen5862
We don't need someone with as much baggage as big Sidney. And when I say "baggage I am not talking about his weight."

there's nothing like bowling a 300 game! 13 now and retired.
