Ward really needs to move on, his Krate isn't that great, but being a sinkerball pitcher, it probably will never be. His h9 is very good however and he is 22 years old. He is probably more ready to handle the rigors of high A than Cueto, yet he continues to be blackballed in low A? Why? Do they like Cueto that much better?

8 k/9 isnt anything to shrug at either. Not everyone can strike out 10 guys per 9 innings. Ward however does seem to be getting the short end of the stick with the promotions....

You ask why?? Don't you remember...Cueto was Almarez's diamond in the rough that he found one bright summer morning in Venezula, or somplace like that. I believe that some his ego is interfering with Ward's promotion. Ward obviusly has nothing left to prove at Dayton.

Um, Ward is averaging right around 8 K/9 and it's actually around a K an inning since the beginning of May. That's damn good in my book.

That's what I thought. Ward's K rate sucked early in the year, but he's been racking up quite a few lately.

Another rough night for Stubbs. Not overly impressed with the 06 draft at this point. Looks rough. I expect Buckley to have his act together by 2007 or finding a new guy would be due. Though the 2004 draft was pretty bad and 2005 got somewhat better, so we should expect improvement in 2007.
