Davis (24), Chris Reitsma (23), Brian Reith (23) and Jose Acevedo (23) all made their big league debuts that season, and were all pitching in the rotation at just about the same time as rookies. They, and some combination of Ty Howington, Chris Gruler, etc. were supposed to be the young guns that led the Reds into GABP in 2003.

Fun Fact: David Espinosa is also a member of that Toledo Mudhens squad.
