Just an FYI to those of you who are "out of area" Reds fans. The MLB Extra Innings package will be free from July 13-17, so you can catch some of the Reds-Rockies series.

I live in Texas, but am from Ohio. I spend the 160 each year to watch the Reds. It is well worth it.
Okay, heres a silly question...and I probably know the answer.
This weekend NOT ONE game of the Colorado series is going to be televised by Fox Ohio.
Soooo, if Fox Rocky Mountain televises any of the series would we in the local Reds viewing area, be able to see it on Fox RM during the free preview weekend.
Or would as the normal Extra Innings disclaimer still hold.....blackout rules apply?
I believe your home team is blacked out no matter who the carrier is.
Here in KC, Extra Innings blacks out all Royals games (not that I care).

Enjoy Steve & Joe. It's a nice weekend to drag the radio out to the deck, chill, listen to some ball and play with the kids.
I know what I'm doing this weekend.
Some people play baseball. Baseball plays Jay Bruce.
Agreed. I enjoy watching the games on TV, but it's always nice to relax and just listen to the radio.Originally Posted by Heath

If it is not on Fox Ohio, then Fox Rocky Mountain will be blacked out in MLB Extra Innings. This package is not worth it if you live in Ohio, only good for an out of market person.
I watch the archive after the game is over. it's good for me since I work at night anyway.Originally Posted by Hey Meat

It'll be strange not seeing the Reds on TV again.....FSN added a bunch of games to their schedule, but they were all pre-All Star break.Originally Posted by Moonlite Graham

Maybe that's what the Reds need to get going again....no TV broadcasts.

You will only get Thursday and Friday's games on EI during this free preview. The Reds game Saturday is a 6 pm which falls under the FOX exclusive rights time period so no EI. Sunday's game is not either the Reds or Rockies RSN and the Reds are off Monday, the last day of the freebie.
I assume the Reds are not adding anymore games to FSN Ohio package since no announcement has been made.
