Take The Pen Away From Narron!

    From the Cincinnati Enquirer:

ALL-STAR DUTY: Narron isn't certain what his duties will be at the All-Star Game as part of manager Phil Garner's staff.

"I have no idea," he said. "The only thing he told me is I'm making out the lineup card."

Narron's lineup cards are works of art. He does them in calligraphy. He did the Reds' that way when he was bench coach.

He had his kit out Sunday.

"I've got to practice a little bit," he said. "I forgot my book of Japanese. I hope I remember how to write Ichiro."

Narron does Japanese players in the Japanese alphabet.

Narron's lineup card would be a popular item on eBay.

    "It'll look good," he said.

If the Reds are in contention and this game "counts".. I don't want him making the NL line-up. I want him to make the line-up for the AL.. Only that would benifit the NL!

He won't know what to do since he won't be able to plug Aurilia in the cleanup spot.

there's nothing like bowling a 300 game! 13 now and retired.

Re: Take The Pen Away From Narron!

I actually don't mind Narron's line-ups all too much. After seeing what Bob Boone and Dave Miley used to throw out there, I actually kind of like his line-ups.

My only beef - you can't bat Aurilia 4th, and you shouldn't start Juan Castro.

As far as the ASG game lineup, I agree Renteria shouldn't be batting 5th.
