Isn't that the case for any game or am I missing something here? If the score was tied and say we took out our starter in the 5th and then we took the lead say in the 6th for the win then wouldn't the pitcher pitching at the time when we took the lead get the win?

Yes the only difference in an all star game is usually a starter has to pitch 5 to get a win in all star games it does not matter.

I honestly think Arroyo could pitch every couple of days and it wouldn't hurt him much. He seems to have a "rubber" arm.
