in case Deno struggles, why not go after Reggie??

I think the Reds, now that Kearns is gone, need to watch how deno does... if he struggles..i think the Reds should go after Reggie Sanders.. he would be a huge uplift of the bench plus a very good outfielder with power. and his luck of ending up on post season teams at the end of the year, doesnt hurt either.

I think we are stuck in sink or swim mode with Freel + Defornia in the OF for this year.

Someone like Sanders would be good to target in the offseason though to pick up some depth for 2007.
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob

Sanders is old and expensive. 2 things the reds don't need.

I think when you make a committment to a youngster you have to give him enough time, which is more like a year and not just a few weeks. The Reds have thrown their proverbial eggs in the Denorfia basket, now they will have to live with whatever that brings.

Reggie Jackson? Isn't he a bit old? Probably overpriced too.

I thought this was going to be a Reggie Taylor thread.

Sanders would be the best of the aging hacking mass group we have including Castro, Clayton, and Aurillia.
Hugs, smiling, and interactive Twitter accounts, don't mean winning baseball. Until this community understands that we are cursed to relive the madness.
