My avatar is "Clutch" Cargo, from perhaps the worst animated cartoon of all time (only the mouths would move).

"Clutch'' is an elusive character in baseball.

As I recall, the mouths were actual real mouths. It was one of the first Japanese animation shows. The mouth thing was just strange, but I'll betcha it's quite retro now.

Clutch Cargo was the cartoon that young Butch was watching in Pulp Fiction when Captain Koons gave him his dad's watch...but you probably already knew that.

I usually change avatars every month or two. I decided a while back to devote mine to a get well tribute to the Reds pitching coach.

Not sure it was Japanese...but the mouths were real. Some guy named Gillete was credited with the "synchro-vox" animation.

I watched these as a kid, but still liked the Hanna-Barbera stuff better.

I started with a generic one from the list.

Switched to a pic of my dog, a Black Mouth Cur (a type of southern hunting hound).

Now I have a pic of my current pitching hero, Everyday Eddie. He may be at the end of his carear but I just love his fire and intensity.

Also I saw him pitch the day where he had the bases loaded and no outs in the 9th and then shut the other team down. See my sig line. Simply amazing evening.
