I'm late to the party but in a weird way I'm glad Edwin didn't play tonight. Shows me that they are more worried about the ankle than anything, because he played well yesterday and I doubt that is why he was out of the lineup.

The Washington Board is asking where are the Sluggers they traded for. Rauch gave up runs and they said they need bullpen help. They miss Bray and Magic.

Watched the Nats game tonight cause I live in DC. Lopez had some nerves, and while Kearns didn't hit, I have never seen him play so hard. He hustled down the line and really went after it in center field. If he can maintain that effort and concentration the Reds will definitely lose this trade. I have to say, I don't see Kearns keeping it up, however.
    Thank goodness for baseball.

I bet it's very hard for both players to go to the Nationals. Kearns was very tight with Dunn, Griffey, etc. I mean I think they were really tight. I actually felt bad for them both. It's the business side of the game. I hope to watch some of the Nationals. It will be like watching the Reds B team. Great win tonight.

Well...of course he's doing that, he's trying to prove himself on a new team.

This trade is a good trade IF Denafora develops into a everyday outfielder. If he flops....we lose the trade. If he is 90% of what he was in Louisville, it's a win win for both teams.

Keep in mind that Bruce,if he keeps it up,will be knocking on the door in 2 years. He's doing good things in the Midwest League.

You hit the nail on the head why we traded for him...he does have excellent range.

for qualified SS in the majors

Clayton is 18th in FLD%, 20th in RF and, 18th in ZR

Your claim is unsupported by the evidence. The objective data suggests that on his best day we acquired a below average defensive SS in terms of both range and in not making errors.

No offense, but the objective data is pure bull****.

Any defense metric is not proven enough to be thrown around on this site like gospel. Trust me, I've researched it a ton.

I hate ZR with a deep passion. It's incredibly volatile and based on many factors that can't be conditioned for equally across all boards.
