Some fun Reds Big Red Machine tibits

If you want to consider May and Seaver part of the Big Red Machine era (and count me as one even though neither were on a WS championship squad) that era now has:

    Jack Billingham
    Gary Nolan
    Tom Seaver
    Don Gullett
    Clay Carroll
    Wayne Granger
    Johnny Bench
    Tony Perez
    Lee May
    Tommy Helms
    Joe Morgan
    Dave Concepcion
    Ken Griffey
    George Foster
    Sparky Anderson
    and Bob Howsam

16 guys, 6 pitchers, your all-time legends at 2nd and behind the plate, a HOF 1Bman, a pretty darn good short stop, couple of good OFers and two guys who were traded for the "final piece"

Hmmm... I understand Peter Edward (though, isn't the Reds HOF technically independant of the BBWAA (the actual culprits that are keeping Rose out) and MLB?), but where is Cesar Geronimo (eh, just think the entire Big 8 should be in)? Or Will McEnaney and Rawly Eastwick?

What does this list represent? Are you saying that these are all the guys the were part of the BRM, or the most important, or what?

I thought I said those were the BRM guys in the Reds Hall.

Oops. Better do a better job rephrasing next time

Without doing any math I'm going to hazzard a guess that they are the most represented era in the Reds Hall and I gather than is fun and cool

Yeah, okay, I see what you mean. Like you said, I don't know whether to consider Seaver part of the BRM years or not. I guess if you count the 1981 "championship," you probably should. He had a huge part in that.

Yes, Cesar Geronimo SHOULD be in the Reds Hall Of Fame.

Him and Davey were very good 7 & 8th place hitters which is not easy with the pitcher coming up.
