    Reg-gie Reg-gie Reg-gie!

    Per Lance

Reds will try and aquire Reggie Sanders and or Elmer Dessens from the Royals for the stretch run.....Reggie will add some right handed pop and be their experienced bat off the bench and maybe start a day or two a week.
The Reds will also pursue Twins pitcher Kyle Loshe.

I thought it was "Denorfia's time"?

    Guess not.

I wouldn't give up anything special for Sanders and Elmer.

Loshe is a starter right? I wouldn't mind getting him, or Elmer if he wants to be a starter again.

EDIT: Loshe has an ERA north of 7. I'll pass.

Reggie has always been my favorite Red. I would love to get him back in Cincy but the K's will come with him.

I wouldn't go after Reggie. He's a solid, productive player but he's got a two year deal. Elmer could be an asset as long as it doesn't take much to get him.

Yea, I like it if Sanders' role is on the bench, but not if he will take at bats away from Deno.

Anyone know the story on Loshe? Not many appearances this season.

Um if you read the post its says right hand pop "off the bench" and may play a few days. I don't think the REDS OF will be the same everyday until the playoffs and at the moment they have Wise as the backup. My guess is Wise and Deno will remain with Sanders so the REDS are back to 5 OF, Freel, 5/6 INF and 2 catchers and 11/12 pitchers.

With Narron that's a problem, nobody who is craty vet stays on the bench

You realize Sanders' age right? Compare that to Deno's.

Krivsky (again) may acquire him to be a bench guy, but you bet Narron will use him as a starter.

    Yeah.....about Kyle...
    Code:
SPLIT	G	IP	H	R	HR	BB	SO	W	L	Sv	OPSA	WHIP	BAA	ERA
    Season	17	57.1	75	46	6	24	43	2	5	0	.837	1.73	.314	7.22
Stay far, far, far, far away. Low strikeout/High walk pitcher that opponents have OPS'd in the .800-.850 range off for the last 3 years.

Dealing with the Twins (for someone other than Loshe) wouldn't have been a bad idea, though -- with Hunter & Ford on the DL, they would be in need of a bat right now. Austin Kearns would've fit the bill quite nicely -- too bad Krivsky just had to have Majewski in here ASAP.

Yes I looked at his stats after I posted that, notice the edit in my post.

    Re: Reg-gie Reg-gie Reg-gie!

Reggie still has some left in the tank. Plus I'm going to be biased since I was at the Reds game in which he went deep thrice. As for Elmer....so,so. He's better than any 5th starter we have ran out there thus far I guess. No comment on Loshe.
