Re: August 1 Minor League Updates (Bailey pitching)

I will be doing play by play for the Lookouts game tonight since Homer Bailey is pitching. When Huntsville is batting, I will do pitch by pitch updates as much as the announcers will give. The Lookouts batters I will just give whether they got a hit, out, where they hit it...

    3. Palmisano takes strike 1. Offspeed pitch misses just outside. Inside and a little low for ball 2. Looking for strike 2, to even the count up. Foul ball down the third base line. Swing and a miss for strike 3.
    4. Chavez comes up with 1 out and looks at strike 1. Low for ball 1. High for ball 2. High bouncer into center field for a base hit.

Good recovery after the long ball. I'm so used to Homer being damn near perfect that it scares me when he gives up the occassional run :spoiled:

Yeah, you cant be perfect every game. I hope Homer can be effective his next few innings. He has been throwing strikes tonight, they have been hitting some that are just right out of the reach of the Lookouts defense. 1 hit went right under a reaching Luis bolivar and another hit bounced in the infield and over the SS and into CF. Just how it goes sometimes. Makes up for those times guys hit line drives right at people.

Chattanooga PBP - Bottom of the 3rd.
    1. Moss steps in to face Bailey. Takes a pitch inside for ball 1. FB for strike 1, looking. Ball 2. Curve ball leads to a gronud ball to Votto who flips to Bailey covering first for 1 out.
    2. Crabbe steps up and takes strike 1. Pop up to Right/Center for out #2 caught by Dickerson.
    3. Ryan Braun comes up and looks at an 80 MPH change up (thats nasty when his FB is coming in from 93-96). Ball 1 bounces off the plate. Inside for ball 2, 2-1 count. Announcer says that when Bailey has missed tonight, he is barely missing. Ball 3. Ball 4 and Braun will trot down to first.
*Pitching coach out to the mound and Jayhawk Owens yells a few things to the umpire about the strike zone. Last pitch apparently was right there but was called a ball*
    4. Nelson takes a ball high. Pickoff attempt at first, safe. Another P.O. attempt, safe at first. Foul ball straight back for strike 1. Misses low for ball 2. Fastball blown by Nelsons bat for strike 2. Braun steals second, Perez bobbles the ball on the transfer from his glove to his hand. Full count and a runner on second with 2 outs. Fly ball to CF but is caught in front of the warning track to end the inning.

    Chattanooga trailing 2-1.
