This was being suggested in the RL game thread, and I just wanted to gauge public opinion. Obviously anyone is better than Joe Mays. Aaron threw less than 120 his previous outing vs. the Rockies, and only 51 tonight, so does he get the call on Sunday on 3 days rest?
I wouldn't... But thats just me...
If you can give your work horse an extra day off.. do it... He has thrown alot of pitches and innings this year... Keep him going on normal rest...

I'd say no. I think one more bad start by our #5 starter will force Krivsky to get someone else. So either Mays pitches good and we win or we get another starter (I hope).

It's a long season. Rather have him rest so he can last longer through the year than just trot him out there for one game sooner. Plus, he may pitch like he did tonight and then it is worthless. I do remember what he did against the Brews last time he had 3 days rest though....shutout.

The only (and I really do mean ONLY) way this team has a fighting chance of keeping things interesting past mid-August is if Aaron Harang stays healthy and continues to be as effective as he's been.
Give his arm a little break -- if anyone on this staff has earned a little bit of extra rest, its him.
