    A-Rod to keep Manager informed

Gotta love players like this: "Yo, Joe, I'll let you know if I feel like throwing balls into the stands today or not."

Alex Rodriguez (toe) said Wednesday that he may not be able to play all four games on the Toronto turf.
"We'll see on the turf," Rodriguez said. "I don't know if I'll play all four games. I'll keep Joe (Torre) updated."

Shame on him for being hurt and shame on him for not saying everything to please everybody all the time.

Yeah... I don't buy the bashing, but it's hard to defend the "I'll keep Joe updated" quote. I know he didn't mean anything by it... but there is a more appropriate way of expressing his situation.

I think he means he'll keep Joe in the loop on how his legs feel. Its better than gong out there and further hurting yourself because the manager doesnt know you are hurting.

Touche`. However that is the other way around. I would be happy if those two guys would have said something rather than not like they did.

I don't see anything wrong with what he said. Who knows better than he does regarding how it feels?

Too much nitpicking and reading more than necessary into every word out of a ballplayer's mouth. (I was always led to believe that only women do that : )
