AAA doesn't show much help for the future.

    Zach Ward pitching for Dayton: 4IP, 2H, 0R, 2BB, 1K (6GO, 3 FO)

His ERA is now down to 2.36. I really don't think he's got a lot to prove by retiring low-A hitters anymore.

Ward and Wood have looked fatigued lately, though Ward has kept a nice string going through his sinker(but that 7.7 k/9 is ho hum).

As long as they keep pounding the ball into the dirt, his K/9 rate can stand to be in the 7-8 range, IMO.

    Push him.

    Push him.
that will help keep his pitch totals down if they are pounding it in the ground early in the count.

This after the much talked about Stubbs singled in front of Valaika. Sean Watson is starting for Billings. He will try to continue his 18 1/3 innings without an earned run.

Bruce is 2-3 and Dayton is tied 2-2.
