My favorite was Game 1 of the 1990 World Series. After Eric Davis' first-inning HR, you could just feel that the A's mystique had been broken and the tide had turned. The Reds bombed Dave Stewart, Rijo pitched a gem, and the team rode that wave of emotion for three more games and a world championship.

Let me toss another one out there.

How about May 19, 1999 at Colorado? Reds score 24 runs on 28 hits en route to a 24-12 win over the Rockies. I believe the hits and runs totals were either franchise/modern day major league records, or darn near close to it. Sean Casey went 4-for-4 with two homers and three walks. Jeffry Hammonds collected four hits, three of which were homers. Every Reds regular collected at least two hits, and seven players had three hits or more.

That Davis tater was heard around the world.

Nope. It was the best of 9 that year.

I was sitting right above where the ball landed.

It hit the CBS camera stationed in CF.

I was in the first few rows of the CF red seats.

It was a blast and you did just knew it was meant to be after that shot.

And I have to agree with June 30, 2006. That game, along with Opening Day 2005 are the two greatest Reds games I have seen in my 13 years of watching baseball.
Nope. There were a few World Series in the early days that were best of nine.

That game was the greatest I ever saw. Not greatest game, but as a Reds fan, most enjoyable by far. ED really set the tone.

The more I think about it, that home run may have been the biggest single play in Reds history.

Davis stepped up to Goliath and gave him a bloody nose. Nobody gave us a snowballs chance until that moment. You could just feel the mood shift, and the rout was on.

All six games of the 1990 NLCS were outstanding, even the two that we lost on Piniella's managerial mistakes.

Big Lou made mistakes? This can't possibly be true.
a super volcano of ridonkulous suckitude.

I simply don't have access to a "cares about RBI" place in my psyche. There is a "mildly curious about OBI%" alcove just before the acid filled lake guarded by robot snipers with lasers which leads to the "cares about RBI" antechamber though. - Nate

My all-time favorite Reds regular season game was September 26th, 1999. Pokey will always have a place in my heart because of that day
