    Biggest Blown Lead

Although the bullpen has been transiently repaired, I was thinking about some of the largest leads blown by the team, I remembered a game against St. Louis in 1968, an 8-0 lead against Steve Carlton with Gerry Arrigoon the mound. Final score 10-8 cards

Didn't the Reds last year or the year before blow an 8 run lead at Milwaukee with Paul Wilson pitching?

Not the Reds, but when I lived in Clevelamd I remember the Mariners (I think--my memory fails me) blowing a massive lead against the Tribe. I left my parents' house in WV when the score was 12-0. Imagine my surprise when I got to Canton, turned on the radio, and the Tribe was behind by one! I managed to make it all the way home and see the winning run score. Now that is blowing a lead.

I remember the Dodgers blowing 9-10 run lead in the ninth a while back during Lasorda's tenure.

That game was on ESPN that night, and I went to bed, couldn't sleep, so I got up and turned on the game again and it was 12-7 or so, in the 9th, watched the rest of a crazy finish. I believe Jolbert Cabrerra had a broken bat single to finish the game.

It was 1990. I was watching it closely due to the Dodgers were still challanging us for the division.

    Re: Biggest Blown Lead

A couple of years ago the Reds scored 8 runs in the first inning against the Cardinals on, I believe, Mother's Day and lost 10-8. I think they returned the favor, St. Louis scored 6 runs in the first and the Reds came back and took out the Cardinals in St. Louis behind a 9th inning blast by Aaron Boone.
