I can't remember the last time the Reds didn't stomp Andy. Seems like its been this way for a few years now. Which is odd, considering that he's a talented pitcher.

And a soft tossing LH'er, which = doom for the Reds

    Re: Pettite Tomorrow

As Narron has stated he has to play the hot bats, why would he start Aurilia over Hatteberg tomorrow? If he does, that is.

Personally, I think he's talking through the corner of his mouth on that one. If it were true, EE would have started last Sunday and tonight.

    Hatteburg usually sits against lefties.

I disagree. Hatte has been hot, but he's made his streak almost exclusively vs. RHP. In 223 ABs vs. righties he's batting .341/.431/.529. Against LHP in 52 ABs he's batting .250/.359/.404. Batting agains rightites he's K'ed 13 times, a little more than 5% of the time. Versus lefties he's K'ed 9 times, a little moe than 17% of the time. His OPS vs. Righties is 200 points higher than his OPS vs. lefties. Now .250 isn't horrible, and Rich has been a turd in his career vs. Pettite, but the reason Scott continues to bat over .300 with an OPS over .920 is because of the platoon.

I, too, hope Griff gets back on track tonight. If he has another game of pop-outs, than this slump is a serious one. I wonder if, as someone mentioned earlier, he is pressing to hit HRs to get past 600. Hopefully that still isn't true this deep into the slump.

    Re: Pettite Tomorrow

This is the lineup I think that Narron will use because of Pettite being left handed.

    1.Freel
    2.Clayton
    3.Griffey
    4.Dunn
    5.Aurilia
    6.EE
    7.Phillips
    8.Ross

I would use Denorfia and give Jr the night off.
