I'm disappointed we won't [most likely] win, but not one person here thought we would be technically in contention the last weekend.

Somehow I don't think we'll remember this as fondly as some do '99 though.

Championships for MY teams in my lifetime:
    Cincinnati Reds - 75, 76, 90
    Chicago Blackhawks - 10, 13, 15
    University of Kentucky - 78, 96, 98, 12
    Chicago Bulls - 91, 92, 93, 96, 97, 98

Well, I predicted an 81-81 finish, so, yeah, I saw it coming. Kidding.

I don't mean to be Debbie Downer, but I think that speaks more towards the Cardinals and the Astros than it does the Reds.

i actually remember your prediction.it sticks out because during the off-season,i read alot of very derogatory comments by fans who predicted 90-100 losses.well...i knew most of the famous FCB comments were usually negative so when it came time for your predictions i expected something like 70-92.
then when i seen your 81-81 record i understood a little more about your "opinions".
1: you are certainly not a "bandwagon" fan.you follow the reds regardless.
2: you speak a genuine opinion.
in other words ....if reds stink it up during a stretch.....you dont say they "gave up" as some say.you say the pitching stinks(or whatever)

i realized alot of your negative comments were more for wanting the reds to succeed rather than simply "relentless bashing" the team or players or mgnt.

so even if there may be a "negative comment"......i am always interested in FCB's opinion.not sayin i always agree but sometimes I actually do.

The Reds got eliminated but they went down fighting. Great job 2006 Reds for making this season fun and now get to at least 500 for the season.
