Re: Homer Bailey pitching tonight/Minor League Updates

In the 5 game series just concluded at Jacksonville, Machado stunk the joint up defensively.

The lowest acceptable payroll amount for ownership to show they are not greedy pigs is 15 million more than they are currently paying. No matter what that currently is.

Really Jax? I usually listen to the Dragons games except when Bailey is pitching, but he always seems to come up with a nice play when I listen...

He only got charged with 2 errors in the series, but also had about 3 times where he threw the ball into the dirt on a double play (but was not charged with error because out was made at 2nd), let about 4 balls go by him for hits because he didn't get in front of them , and let at least 3 balls simply drop between him and other fielders for hits. He was terrible.

Drew Anderson........ there's a guy that can play defense....

Drew Anderson is a guy I like. He hasnt been so hot in Chattanooga so far, but I bet he comes around with the bat soon enough.

    Chattanooga PBP
I missed what hte first batter did, but he got out.
The second batter of the inning lined a double into the gap.
Third hitter is the pitcher, strikes him out on 3 pitches. That is his 6th of the night.
Starts off the leadoff hitter with a high change up and then another high change up for a 2-0 count. Outside for ball 3. Throws a strike on the 4th pitch for a 3-1 count. Check swing for ball 4. First walk of the night.
Pop up to Chris Dickerson in CF and ends the inning.

    Bailey - 5ip, 4 hits, 0 runs, 1 walk, 6 strikeouts

Re: Homer Bailey pitching tonight/Minor League Updates

Question for the guys intently tracking Homer Bailey's progress each game ...

Would it be possible to compile a breakdown of Homer's pitch selection (fastball, breaking ball, change-up, etc.) with each start in a similar fashion that reds44 posted based off McCoy's info?

IMO, if possible, that'd be a pretty valuable piece of information to have handy.

Honestly Cyclone, I dont know if its possible unless you were to attend every game. I have listened to probably 80% of Baileys starts this year and the announcers just arent good at telling you what is thrown a lot. Like I have said earlier, the Lookouts have 2 broadcasters, an older guy and a younger guy. The younger guy is very bad at telling you what is thrown, while the older guy is usually pretty good at it.

Jay Bruce has the night game off apparently. Nice little reward for a 4-5 earlier night.

That's what I figured. We've got access to some pretty good Bailey splits right here, but as always, I'm craving even more information.

Hopefully Bailey mixed it up tonight and wasn't just using the fastball primarily again tonight.

Bailey is working his way up from stud prospect to uber-stud prospect at this point...

Cyclone, Ive been keeping my own little Homer Bailey excel sheet going. Give me a minute and I will post it with up to date information. Not sure how much it has that minorleaguesplits.com doesnt but I am sure there are some things.

Oh and Chris Dickerson just robbed a HR to end the inning for the Lookouts. The announcer says he has never seen a play like it before.
