I'd take a chance on Franklin.

I'd pass on Franklin. He's no better than what we already have. Look at Franklin's last two seasons:

Didn't Franklin get suspended for steroids last year?

Yes, he was suspended last year for steroids. It was shortly after Palmeiro was suspended and he followed tune blaming "a flaw in the system". I believe he said he bought supplements from a nutrition store that caused it.

Cory Lidle wasn't that good here, then he turns the corner so to speak. Sometimes a change of scenery or change in pitching coach can do wonders. If the price isn't to high why not take a chance?
