Is it possible the Reds could somehow pry Cesar Izturis from the Dodgers? If so, I would be very happy. They have Betemit now and they paid $39 million to Furcal and it's been widely reported that Izturis wants to play short. The Reds have a HUGE hole at shortstop. If he can pull that deal off, it will make the deadline a success IMO.
Izturis is not happy in LA. He would be a great pickup in my opinion.
I doubt Krivsky agrees that the Reds have a huge hole at SS.

I'd love to see him as a Red. As far as the possibility, I'm not sure who we would send over there to get him.
It is a hole that MUST be addressed.
I would get either Wilson/Izturis and Matt Stairs and call it a day.
I'd like to see him come to the Reds as well.
File that one under DUH but I agree and I am happy that the BP now has some fire power to put the fear in other teams.
I like Loshe but only if he goes to the pen or if he goes to long relief with the hope of doing a spot start or two.

Both guys currently playing SS were acquired by Krivsky. I'm pretty sure he's fine with them for this year. He may address it in the offseason but I doubt he's looking at it now. I hope I'm wrong here though.
