Nice lineup. Well, close enough anyway.

I dont get Narron. If Edwin has a bat good enough to hit clean up when he actually plays, shouldnt his bat be good enough to play every day?

Glad Edwin gets to play today. Lets go Reds!

I'm hoping Encarnacion has a game that matches what Ty Cobb did on May 5th, 1925. Maybe, just maybe, a performance like that would help generate future starts.

BTW, on that day, all Cobb did was go 6-6 with 16 total bases, hitting three home runs, a double and two singles.

    Hooray for EE!

Adam Dunn is 1 for 16 in his career against Penny. Griffey is 7 for 19 with 2 homers.

Wow, Clayton in there again - I thought for sure it would be Castro tonight.

well it is time to change it if there ever has been a time. Dunn has been on fire, and Penny, well he hasnt been lately.

So, Clayton not playing the game the right way since he came over has absolutely no bearing on his playing time. Interesting how that stupid little saying of Narron's has no meaning, apparently.

I'm looking forward to the mash that Ross applies to Penny's fastball.

RH bat with pop to split up two lefties, that's how Narron uses #4.

    .267/.352/.504/.856 (62 rbi's) from the Reds #4 guys this year, .247/.316/.517/.833 from #3 (85 rbi's)

I was thinking the exact same thing.

I still don't get why Clayton is starting over Castro. And I can't believe I am actually WISHING they'd give the regular starting shortstop job to a guy with Castro's bat.

I also don't get why Ross is automatically stuck at the end of the lineup. What does the guy have to do to move higher in the order? Is Narron just convinced his entire season has been a fluke that is due to regress to the mean at any moment?

Here's hoping last night's debacle jolts the Reds into a streak of hard-nosed, winning baseball.

Clayton is mistake that is not going to be admitted, much to the detriment of the team.

Dude - catchers bat either 7th or 8th. Geez, its right on page 2 of An Idiot's Guide to Managing.

You noticed that inconsistency in his managerial or leadership style also.
