no need to. they took him out of the game.

that's cool that reds fans boo'ed the dodgers decision to take him out of the game. classy on the part of reds fans.

Maddux is now 4-0 against the Reds and 6-11 against the rest of the league. As for his no-hitter, I never want to see the Reds no-hit.

Help stamp out, eliminate, and do away with redundancy.

How can you want a no-hitter against the Reds?

Also, the fans were only booing because they knew the Reds were up to the challenge and were gonna get a hit in there ASAP and probably some runs.

This guy did it in 1971, at the stadium on the riverfront...

The late Don Wilson of the Astros did it to the Reds a couple of years before that, in 1969. Jim Maloney of the Reds had no-hit the Astros the day before!

I can respect that. I always like seeing no hitters, no matter who's throwing them.
My dad got to enjoy 3 Reds World Championships by the time he was my age. So far, I've only gotten to enjoy one. Step it up Redlegs!

No hitter, 2 hitter, not a big difference either way. They still get 0 runs.

I guess I don't get bothered when Maddux beats us. The guy is so classy about his game that you don't feel bitter after he's through. I can't say the same about the time RJ had the huge strikeout game against us. Just shows that a players demeanor goes along way, even toward the opposing teams fans.

THE 2nd best (behind bo jackson's bo knows campaign) baseball commercial ever was Maddux/Glavine "chicks dig the long ball" with Heather Locklear by Nike.

It was apparent to anyone in attendance that the Reds didn't plan on scoring a run last night. Therefore I would have loved to see Maddux hurl a no-no. He is pure class and I wouldn't have been bothered by it too much.

No way do I ever root for the REDS to get no-hit. I love the game of baseball, but I love the REDS more. No-hitters are few and far between and it is a neat thing when it happens... but not at the expense of my fav team. No way, no how... nope!

Are you kidding? You are telling me the Kearns and Lopez (who would have Platooned) are the reason this offense is struggling right now. Give me a break. If Krivsky were playing and went 0-4 then you can "nice offense K"- but indeed Special K is not the Offense!
