    Tonight's Game Sold Out?

Went to the reds.mlb.com, and there seem to be no more tickets available for the game. Has Cincinnati woken up, or just hungry for $1 hot dogs?

They stop selling online a few hours before the game, IIRC.

I would honestly hope, with what this series means, it would sell out regardless of half price tickets or dollar hot dogs.

I think Bob Castellini's idea to this was a good one, because it shows he's doing everything he can to make it affordable for fans of all financial situations.

True, but I think he just wants to beat the Cards and fill the house when they are in the park.

This is a big series for ownership, no doubt. This a you (the fans) scratch my back and I'll (Cast) scratch yours.

I would like to see this about 3-4 series a year. Puts butts in the seats, which leads to higher concessions as well as making up half of the lost revenues by greatly increasing the number of tickets purchased. A full ballpark means a louder ballpark, looks better on tv, and might just get a few people into the ballpark who could't afford it before. they just might get the itch to come back....

Its a shame the Reds are barely .500 at home, they may not be now.

Not bad for a Monday in Cincinnati. I don't know how many came for the dogs, but it beats the 23k they were getting on week nights prior.

The White Sox have a lot of promotions like $1 hot dog night and half price walk up ticket night... they do it on the same day every week. Even before last season, these promotions really helped boost attendance. I think that the Reds have the right idea and should take more action to get butts in the seats. Good call Bob!
