    Belisle pitching for Bats

In relief of Joe Mays, top of the 8th, game tied 3-3 (against division leader Indy -- Bats 2.5 games back). 1 SO, 1 BB, 0 hits. Second out was on a called strike 3 at 95 mph. Good rehab outing. Was on a 20 pitch limit, threw 16.

Matt Belisle is not our savior, though if he actually could locate his pitches and stop injuring his back all the time, he would be. The enigma he is eh?

Mays pitching well in AAA could lead to very bad things...

If it happened - it would be in September - I can't see the Reds purchasing his contract to add the the 40 man.

Lol then I completely understand what you meant. Mays can only hit 95 MPH two ways. slap hitting a 95MPH fastball someone throws him or in his car. Thats about it.

Belisle is eligible to come off the DL anytime, right? He went on the DL on July 14th, retroactive to July 10th.

I believe he came back for a very short period and then went back on the DL. I'd have to look it up though. I could be wrong. I do believe though that either way he is eligible to come of the DL now if they wanted. Most likely it will be Sept. 1st unless someone gets injured.

Too bad he can't start. The Reds could really use him in the rotation.
School's out. What did you expect?

Belisle pitched another scoreless inning on 8/11, struck out two, with a ground out. No hits or walks.

Three great outings. Call him up!
