The Sarasota Reds end up winning 2-0 and giving up only 4 hits.

It is all about adjustments and if he can make them he will be just fine. Good outing tonight for him nice way to bounce back.

    Cueto turned in another gem tonight - 6 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 5 K.

That's 12 straight shutout innings for Cueto.

I really like the strikeout numbers. Where does he start next year? Sarasota or Chattanooga?

Well, Cueto is not a good pitcher in high A yet, what does that tell you?

ERA is an overrated stat. If he keeps on showing improved command like he has the last few starts, start him in Chattanooga next year.

Not with Cueto. Even Bailey threw "good" during his up and down high A time. Starting Cueto in AA is rushing. No reason for it. If he handles high A like he did low A this year, move him to AA when he feels ready sometime next summer. Patience.

I agree with Aronchis on this. Start Cueto in Sarasota again next year. His command seems to have lost him a little bit while there. He has had some real good games there, but he also has had some real bad ones.

BA's Hot Sheet under "In the Team Photo":
Johnny Cueto, rhp, high Class A Sarasota (Reds): Cueto hasn't had to face much adversity this year as he's emerged as a prospect, but the Reds had to be happy with how he's bounced back from a rough outing. Ever since he was rocked by Vero Beach on Aug. 4 (1 2/3 IP, six hits, eight runs), Cueto has been nearly perfect. In the three starts since then, he's allowed no runs and only 10 hits in 17 2/3 innings while striking out 16.
