Great lineup. It seems that despite his comments before the series JN realizes that importance of these games and is putting the best team on the field.

Good to see Castro in there.

Griffey's gotta be due for a day off soon.

Let's get a win for Bronson today:

Will the cornrows look work for Reds pitcher Bronson Arroyo?

"I did it in '04 just trying to get something mixed up," Arroyo said Tuesday. "I didn't lose for a long, long time and I left them all the way through the World Series."

In the nine games since his June 19 win, Arroyo is 0-4 with a 5.31 ERA. He had a 9-3 record and 2.47 ERA in the 15 starts before that.

I would still flip Jr. and Dunn, but overall, I cannot complain about the lineup. Kudos to JN for not giving us a getaway special and trying to win this series!

That is a nice lineup. The only better lineup I could see would be RA at 2nd/B-Phil at SS. But hey, no ones perfect!

The Cards got a weak lineup in there too. This game looks like it should be ours.

I would NEVER call that a weak lineup, but if we can get those guys out, we're in good shape.

Reyes' stats since the all star break:stats

He has really gone downhill of late. I especially like the WHIP of 1.73, Hits/9 of 11.39, and ERA of 5.91. He also seems to do significantly worse on the road and has lost both of his starts outside St.Louis.

They have Taguchi, Miles and Bennet. Since when is a struggling Edmonds (one swing) and Spiezio of all people deadly. I would take pitching to Spiezio anyday compared to Rolen.

Better Spiezio than Rolen, last night's HR notwithstanding. Edmonds is the scary one for me. Seems like he hits a homer every other inning against the Reds.

Spiezo is nicer to see than Rolen, I agree, but he's decent against righties, as is Edmonds who usually hits us well.

But you're right, Bronson should get #10 right here.

They're reporting a light rain may start soon, with some heavier stuff coming in around 2:30-3:00. Let's hope we get it all in.
