Like usual, I will do PBP for the Chattanooga Lookouts game as long as Homer is pitching.

Chris Dickerson reached on an error to lead off the inning, then the pitcher walked the bases loaded. Aaron Herr singled in a run, and the bases were still loaded. Noochie Varner with a single that scores 2. Herr stays at third and Varner is at first. Lookouts lead 3-0. No outs and runners on the corners. Machado pops up for the first out of the inning. Missed something happening, but the Lookouts scored another one and lead 4-0 heading into the 2nd.

Thanks for the PBP DD.
Top of the 2nd - Chattanooga leading 4-0
1. Foul ball, strike 1. Change up fouled off, 0-2. Low, ball 1. Mustve been strike 3.
Turned to look at the Reds turn a DP and missed something apparently. Smokies hitting
coach then tossed out of the game for argueing balls and strikes. This is strange,
hitting coach went to the bullpen in the outfield rather than the lockerroom...
2. Strike 1 looking. Strike 2 on a foul ball. Swing and a miss, strike 3. Baileys 4th
in a row, 5th on the day.
3. Strike 1. Foul ball for strike 2. Caught him looking, strike 3. 5 in a row for Bailey
6 on the game.
Homer Bailey, 2ip, 1bb, 0h, 6 strikeouts.
6 Ks in 2 innings...
I like that!
Chattanooga didnt score in the 3rd.
Top of the 3rd - Chattanooga leads 4-0
1. low ball 1. Pop up on the infield. 1 out.
2. Pitcher is up. Called strike 1. Single down the line past Votto.
3. Foul ball, strike 1. Low ball 1. In the dirt, ball 2. FB for strike 2.
High for a full count, 3-2. Swing and a miss for Homers 7th strike out of the game.
4. 2 outs and a runner on first base. Ball 1. Ball 2 low. I love Edwin Encarnacion, who
just smashed a HR. Called strike. High ball 3, 3-1 count. Strike 2. Swing and a miss.
3ip, 1h, 0r, 1bb, 8 strikeouts.
*between innings, CF was tossed out of the game. He was the batter who struck out
that resulted in the hitting coach being tossed out.*
Chattanooga goes down 1-2-3 in the 3rd. Still lead 4-0.
8 Ks in 3 innings? Wow.
Do you have any idea how many breaking balls he has thrown?
Reds44, I can only type what the announcer says, but it does seem he is mixing it up quite well today.
Good to hear.Originally Posted by dougdirt

Machado steps on the bag to end the inning.
