    PIT vs. STL. Series

    What a series for the pirates coming into in last place against the first place cards in the division. Coming in and sweeping the cards 3-0....... The pirates beat the cards 7-1 the first game, 3-2 the second game, and 7-0 in the last game outscoring the cards 17-3 in the series just absolutly puttin a wupping on the St. Louis Cardinals AND FINALLY THE REDS TAKING ADVANATAGE OF IT

    As someone posted in the ORG game thread, this should be a message to the Reds and should be posted in the clubhouse. The Red Sox just got swept by the Royals.

    These are the dog days. Got to stay on your toes.

    The Reds continue to get the job done. Despite all the critisms on this board the Reds are 2-0-1 in their last 3 series.

    If not for that buzz saw known as the Dodgers, August would be off to a roaring start.

    6-3 in their last 9. I'll take it.

    Since June 1st...

    Cardinals are 28-36 with 303/355 RS/RA

    Reds are 32-33 with 323/349 RS/RA

    Astros are 30-33 with 289/273 RS/RA

    This thing is wide open and watch out for them 'Stros...

    thats why i am cheering for the padres in that series right now, not the astros, because the stros are very dangerous in these situations, and they have great pitching unlike most of the teams in the NL Central
