    Bruce is umping his 5,000th game tonight. Bo'Sox vs Detroit.

    Good for him. He's a good ump. He does a good job of not being noticed which is key for umps/refs.

    Five thousand games. Wow. That alone is a remarkable feat - and his 100-some post-season games just adds to that.
    If I recall correctly, it has been quite a while since and ump has been inducted into the Hall. Perhaps they should make some room, whever the guy decides to retire.

    He was on yesterday afternoon with Dibble and Kennedy on XM. He umped in the minors for 13 years! before getting his shot in the bigs. He had some good stories and seems like a real class act who puts the game ahead of his ego.
    When all is said and done more is said than done.
