I expect every single one of those left handed relievers will at least be in camp for the reds. Clearly Krivsky is trying to corner the market.

No, you wouldn't. I thought I would, too, when the Red Sox got him, but he's got minimal range, zero speed, and very little power. I don't think he's quite the player he used to be. I don't see Alex Gonzalez on that list at SS, and he will be a free agent. I'm hoping as a Red Sox fan that they can get draft picks for Loretta and keep Gonzalez, but I don't really expect either to happen.

not sure I'd want Gagne at this point. 2 straight seasons on the shelf, I'd be concerned about his ability when/if he's finally healthy again.
    Is it "next season" yet?

Wouldn't mind taking a chance on Luis Castillo. His speed and ability to get on base while providing steady defense would be a nice complement to this infield. As far as pitchers go, I'd love Zito but he is no more than a pipe dream.

They may bring back Reitsma to replace Stormy - depending on how Krivs, Hume, et al see Bray's performance and health wise maybe Everyday Eddie too. As for middle infielders they would probably have Harris as the 2B with Rich as the back-up. Hunter may be a go you never know.

As for starting pitching I don't think the REDS are going to go out a buy a #1 so your probably going to be looking at a Ted Lilly or Brad Radke if they did pick up a FA SP.

    Hopefully we try to sign/resign:
Rich Aurilla-stay on bench or start at second
Juan Pierre-provide solid leadoff man-move Griff to right-Freel to second
    Ted Lilly-solid 4th starter
    Randy Wolf-solid 3rd-5th starter
David Riske-strong right hand bullpen guy
Eddie Guardado-proven closer to mentor Bray

I wouldn't mind taking a shot a Luis Castillo either, seeing what he did in Florida we can just hope that he repeats. As for the pen, Bradford and Rhodes could be nice additons.

Wow, it seems there are a lot bigger names out there, than there was last year. Thats a great sign because we have and aggressive GM, this year.

I agree on Castillo. I think he could be had for pretty cheap. Bring him in, move BP to SS and we've got ourselves a pretty good infield.

Bringing in Dave Roberts or Mike Cameron wouldn't be too bad either. Either or them can share time in center with Farney, which would give us the oppertunity to move Junior to RF (I doubt he would move out of CF, but it's worth a dream).

As for starting pitching, I think Kriv should make a move for Lilly/Ohka/Meche. Sure, getting a Zito or Schmidt would be nice, but there is no chance in hell that Zito is coming here and giving a 3+ year deal to a pitcher on the decline like Schmidt isn't the greatest idea...

Guys like Bradford/Fultz/Riske are some good options for the bullpen as well...

How about a whole new infield? Dimitri Young, Tony Womack, Pokey Reese and Aaron Boone

Bear in mind, they're gonna have a good chunk of cash to give someone, considering the salary increases that would have been paid to Kearns and Lopez.

It's not out of the realm of possiblity that Wayne could try to make a big splash.
