Everytime I open my mouth about someone, they struggle.

Dayton is down 3-0 after a half an inning. Carlos Fisher allowed 3 runs on 3 hits and a walk in the first.

Down in Sarasota, they lead 7-0 after 4 innings. Cueto is through 4 innings, 0 runs, 2 hits, 2 walks and 4 strikeouts.

Oh, and Cody Strait has stolen his 43rd, 44th and 45th bases of the season for Sarasota.

    Thats very impressive.

Three straight very good outings by Cueto - 17.2 consecutive scoreless innings for him.

Some people here thought he was being pushed or was over-promoted and it now looks like Almaraz has done the right thing with this kid. IMO he's moving into Bailey-Bruce territory.

well for whatever reason, in Sarasota his command seems to be lacking a bit. His walk rate has doubled, as has his HR rate. Still a guy I like, he needed quite a bit of time to adjust things, and hopefully this is his stpe forward we are seeing in the FSL.

He needed that. He has been struggling lately. A long season will do that to ya.

Dayton won 8-7. Craig Tatum went 3-4 with an RBI

Sarasota won 9-1. Cody Strait went 4-5 with a double, RBI and walk. Paul Janish went 2-5 with an RBI and a walk. Jay Garthwaite went 3-3 with a HR and 3 RBI.

Ravin struggled in the first inning of his debut PL start, walking three, but recovered nicely to finish the next two innings. Final line was 3IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 4 BB, 4 K. Billings leads Ogden 4-2 in their quest to win eight in a row.

Oh, and SS Chris Valaika (3rd, 2006) has just tied the longest minor-league hit streak for 2006- 27 games.
