    I'm guessing this is just a strange coincidence?

    That Cincinnati has a Derrick Turnbow Ave. I was looking for a location on google near here, and happened to notice this.

    Sorry about the long link. It's over in the West End, parallel to Ezzard Charles Dr.
    How do we know he's not Mel Torme?

    Honor student Derrick Turnbow followed his classmates outside to watch a fight this afternoon. During the fight, a man opened fired on the students. Derrick was struck by the bullets and rushed to the hospital. It was here that he found out he would be paralyzed for the rest of his life. Several local celebrities and professional sport players came to visit Derrick, even President George Bush. On October 19, 1991, Derrick died from his injuries. Police arrested Edwin Orlando Swan for this shooting.

    Wow, that's really sad. Thanks for the info Roy. I tried google to see if there was any info on how the street was named, but came up empty.
    How do we know he's not Mel Torme?

    The street was indeed named after the young man, Derrick Turnbow.

    It's not a coincidence.

    I think he meant it was a coincidence because of Derrick Turnbow in Milwaukee.
