Those jerseys looked better with white piping around the neck and down the front instead of the black. I can't find a pic though.

I agree with that- I think those are the old batting practice jersies.

I think the Mets looked the best with the black- the Royal blue and black were a good combo, at least to my eye.

What I don't like are the all black jersies. I like their blue with black highlighting.

I like the Mets traditional colors of Dodger blue and Giants orange.

Nope, those are the alternate jerseys from 2003 and 2004. They changed to the current model last season. While I like the 2003-2004 model better, and can live with a colored jersey once a week, I still prefer the home white's and road grey's.

If everything I have heard and read are true, Castellini really doesn't like the black in the uniforms. I think it will be gone next season.

I could handle the 1967 unis with the Sunday Red tops at home.

We aren't the Cincinnati Blacks. We are the Cincinnati Reds.

The away uniforms look like the Oakland Raiders and the Red is a Trim color, not a primary color. I'd prefer red undershirts on the away uni.

I don't see the need to fix what isn't broken. I really, really like the current jerseys. I hope they don't go back to something similar to the 70s and 80s. The plain white and red is incredibly dull, and I hate pullovers. A baseball jersey is supposed to have buttons, darn it all!

I don't think you need to worry about the pullovers. Nobody is going back to the pullovers any time soon. If they go back to the style of the Big Red Machine, it will be the earlier model, and uniforms shown in the picture above. Those have buttons and belts.

I hate that reason. We were origninally the Cincinnati Red(stockings). Our socks are supposed to be red and if Royce Clayton isnt enough proof for you that the Reds away socks are red, then I dont know what else you need.

They could theoretically sport pink and chartreuse with red socks and still fit the name.

If the socks are red, and to be shown (and I love how Clayton wears them) then the sleeves need to be red, too.

It looks dumb to have the undersleeves and socks different colors. My wife would send me back upstairs to find a "different shirt to wear with those pants"

I really like the uni's the way there are right now, except for the black undersleeves on the away uni, and the black hat with the red bill. Change 'em both to red, and I'm good.

Clayton and Deno both do the high socks, but no one else does. I think secretly that Deno wears high socks because he defies gravity. Clayton uses duct tape to hold his up.
