Proud to be a Reds Fan

Gotta eat my own words and think about a thread I posted a few weeks back stating that the Reds are pretenders. Well, now its almost September and the Reds have been contending all year now.

I also stated in my post that I'm ready for football. Upon closer examination the Reds have the deepest history, pride, and success of any of my favorite teams. After all, 9 World Series, 5 World titles, numerous MVPs, etc.

Compare that to the Bengals, 2 Super Bowls, NO WORLD TITLES.
Compare that to WVU, 2 National title game appearances, NO NATIONAL TITLES.

I'm going to eat my own words and apologize for almost turning my back on the Reds this season. I'm proud of the boys, whether they make the playoffs or not. Ryan Freel, Adam Dunn, Rich Aurilla, and David Ross are really making the game enjoyable and thank God that the Reds are giving us a season in which I could now care less if football doesn't start until October!
