The simple fact that Denorfia is ranked 25 places ahead of Homer Bailey tells me this list is absolutely laughable and holds water about as much as a noodle strainer

Very interesting indeed. I'm surprised to find us that high.

Oh and they also have Drew Stubbs as "ones to watch" for the Houston Astros.
Laughable.

Before you all dismiss this 7th place claim, consider this. In the past, one of the big hits on the Reds farm system was that their farm teams were losing more than winning, at many different levels. One way to compare overall strength of systems is to look at win-loss records of the various teams. As of 8/22/06, as we near the end of the minor league season, lets look.
2006 records to date
AAA Louisville 69-62
AA Chatanooga 74-54
High A Sarasota 60-67
A Dayton 63-64
Rookie Billings 41-21
GCL Reds 18-34
2006 Overall (to date) 325-302
Last year 2005 records
AAA Louisville 66-78
AA Chatanooga 53-83
High A Sarasota 65-67
A Dayton 60-79
Rookie Billings 43-33
GCL Reds 22-32
2005 Overall totals 309-372
So the Reds farm system's winning percentage has increased overall from .453 last year to .518 so far this year. That is a nice improvement.

Dan O'brien put together one hell of a class so far.
All I can say about the 05 draft.
Bruce, Wood, and Ward(Lohse) alone make that class look incredible.
Leclure, Avery, and Rosales look decent also.
By the way, Zach Ward is struggling right now. I'm not saying it's a finality or anything, but it's odd considering how incredibly dumb people assumed Krivsky was, again

This is the time. The real Reds organization is back.
